The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that products, materials, services, equipment and/or subcontractors are provided to schedule and according to budget. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction contracts maintain profitable, and that the most cost-effective materials are used to lower outlays. Seeks quotes on prices and availability of materials from a variety of suppliers and manage and report on the accumulative cost of all new purchases. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procures materials and subcontracts from qualified vendors and subcontractors.
Confers with project managers, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or service and determine corrective action.
Leverages vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings to project(s).
Researches and evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.
Assists Operations in creating the general and special conditions, safety responsibilities and scope requisitions for each project to ensure that the scope, schedule, insurance and bonding requirements are clearly defined.
Examines the plans and specifications for any deficiencies, construction issues, and technical questions and refer any findings to the project managers.
Negotiates scope, price, and subcontract terms with vendors and subcontractors through subcontract award.
Issues recommendations for approval of subcontractors/vendors and any awards to such subcontractors/vendors to client and/or project team.
Prepares and issues subcontracts or oversee process and follows up for timely execution of the subcontracts, observes receipt of insurance certificates and any other project specific items that must be submitted to complete the subcontract process.
Assist Project Managers to monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
In conjunction with the project teams, develops, executes, and monitors risk management plans where/when required.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Safety Director is responsible for establishing, monitoring and enforcing a companywide safety plan for all current projects. RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements and enforces the Corporate Health and Safety Program. Initiates and communicates updates to the program as needed.
Ensures that all subcontractors and suppliers are informed of and comply with the contractual environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Coordinates between safety engineers and subcontractors to ensure proper safety procedures are being carried out.
Conducts regular site visits, inspects and audits working conditions, safety equipment and machinery on each jobsite.
Studies audit reports for non-compliance and leading indicators to develop preventative measures and focused safety audits conducive to proactive safety strategies
Implements and reviews Construction Work Plans and any and all specification pertaining to the project in relations to OSHA rules and regulations and job specifications.
Prepares and maintains all OSHA logs and acts as the point of contact for all OSHA interactions.
Conducts onsite safety training for all workers when needed.
Establishes accident prevention and control strategies for each work location - recommend procedural, design and operational improvements to minimize/avoid potential hazards.
Investigates accidents, near misses; issues a root cause analysis report and develops an action plan to avoid future similar incidents.
Ensures all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per protocol and implements appropriate corrective actions as required through safety engineers.
Interfaces with and maintains insurance industry relationships
Identifies and analyzes operational risk for impact to corporation including frequency, trends and severity
Provides safety mentorship to all field personnel, especially to less experienced ones.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Lifting/carrying: Carrying light loads related to field measurement equipment, equipment cases weighing 15 lbs. or less.
Dexterity: Ability to type using a keyboard with relative efficiency, ability to make handwritten notes and sketches indoors and outdoors at industrial plant and construction sites at any time of the year.
Walking/Climbing: Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.

The Project Safety Manager will partner with the Business Unit EH & Safety Director, Project Executive, Project Manager and Superintendents to ensure project site compliance with Company Environmental, Health & Safety and risk control policies and procedures.
Lead, direct and enforce safety on a single construction project or on multiple smaller projects (not to exceed combined total of $40M) within the business unit’s geographic area, based on the safety staffing requirements as defined by Headquarters EH&S.
Identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and or property damage using job specific safety standards, best management practices, and the Building L.I.F.E. program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
